Download Humai Trader Binary release (size: about 5.8M)
Unzip Humai Trader
Application package blogtrader-bin-x.xx.x.zip to:
<path.to.installation>\blogtrader\
Change director to <path.to.installation>\blogtrader\bin
Execute humai trader
with command:blogtrader
* You may set the JDK home maunally:
Open file: blogtrader.conf at blogtrader/etc/,
uncomment the line:
#jdkhome="/path/to/jdk"
and change it to your JDK home path.

2. Working with stocks
2.1 Add/Import a stock (Ctrl + N)
Notice: all volume size is divided by 100.
In Explorer Window, select the stocks node, click right mouse button, select "Add Stock " in popup menu, a "Stock Data Source" dialog will popup.
Input the data source properties in "Stock Data Source", then press "Ok" to save it, the stock's quote data will then be loaded from this data source. See "Set stock's data source" for more details. The stock's data source will be saved for next time usage.
2.2 Delete a stock
In Explorer Window, select the stock node, click right mouse button, select "Delete " in popup menu.
2.3 Set stock's data source
In Explorer Window, select the stock node, click right mouse button, select "Set Data Source " in popup menu, a "Stock Data Source" dialog will popup.
Input the data source properties in "Stock Data Source", then press "Ok" to save it, the stock's quote will then be load from this data source.
Remember to input a stock symbol in "Symbols" field, it should be exactly same (ignore case) as the data source's symbol.
Be careful of the Date format of the data source, you can set it when import quote data from a CVS or MetaStock ascii data file, the format will shown as the sample label on the right.
* The date format could be in other form, you can set the format as mentioned above.
* The first line should be included, and should contain at least <TICKER>, <YYMMDD>, <TIME>, <OPEN>, <HIGH>, <LOW>, <CLOSE>, <VOLUME> items to indicate the order of quote data.
* The <TICKER> name should be same as the symbol you inputted when set the data source.
2.5 Reimport Data
Reimport data means you'll clear the data of a period that have been stored in local database, and re download them from data source, i.e. Yahoo! Finance.
In Explorer Window, select the stock node, click mouse right button, select "Set Data Source " to indicate which period you'd like to reimport.The period of "StartEnd" to now will be cleared and reimport.
In Explorer Window, select the stock node, click mouse right button, select "Reimport Data".
2.6 Refresh Data
Refresh data will reload data from local database first, then retrive new data (newer than those have been stored in local database) from data source.
In Explorer Window, select the stock node, click mouse right button, select "Refresh Data".
3. Working with stock views
3.1 Open Stock View
In Explorer Window, select the stock node and double click on it.
3.2 Switch quote chart to Candle Stick or OHLC Bar type (Ctrl + B)
Click "Candle or OHLC" button on toolbar.
3.3 Switch quote chart to Trading Date view or Calendar Date view (Ctrl + T)
Click "Calendar/Trading view" button on toolbar.
3.4 Switch quote chart to Linear scale or Log scale
Click "Linear or Lg Scale " button on toolbar .
3.5 Zoom in / Zoom out Stock View (Up / Down)
* Tips: Scroll mouse wheel while press down <Shift> key will zoom in / zoom out stock view.
Select the stock view by click on it, press <down> key to zoom out, or <up> key to zoom in
Or, click the zoom in / zoom out button on toolbar
3.6 Move reference cursor (Ctrl + Left / Right)
* Tips: Scroll mouse wheel will move charts left / right, but keep reference cursor stay on same position on screen. Press down <Ctrl> key when scroll mouse wheel will move reference cursor day by day. If you press space keyboard once, the moveing speed will switch between fast moving or day by day moving.
Click on stock chart to set a reference date.
When move mouse over stock view, a period information including period days, price changing percent, total volumes between the date mouse pointed and reference date will be shown on quote chart view's left-top.
3.7 Move left / right (Left / Right)
To move charts: use <Left> <Right> key
To move cursor: press down <Ctrl> and use use <Left> <Right> key
You can move the stock view left or right by using the scroll bar control.
Or, by press <space> key, you can switch between fast moving or day by day moving via <left>, <right> key.
3.8 Adjust the zoom factor
* Tips: Sometimes you'll need more upper and lower space to view the quote chart, especially when drawing.
Drag the Zoom factor slider control to change the Zoom factor (from 1.0 to 0.1)
3.9 Show / Hide cross cursor (ESC)
Press ""ESC" key to show or hide cross cursor.
When drawing, the cross cursor will be hidden automatically.
3.10 Maximize / Restore stock view's size
Double click stock view's title to maximize it or restore the size.
3.11 Compare Multiple Quotes' Charts
Click on a stock view, make it active and as current.
In Explorer Window, select the stock node, click right mouse button, select "Compare to Current" in popup menu. A colored new chart will be displayed on current stock view.
You can add multiple quotes' chart on this current stock view.
To remove the compared chart, just click to call popup menu in current stock view, and select "Remove Comparing Chart".
3.12 Adjust Quotes for Ssplits and Dividends
If the Yahoo! data source provides the correct adjusted close quote data of this symbol, you can switch between adjusted quote chart and none adjusted quote by invoking "Adjust Quote or Not" action in Toolbar or popup menu. When the quote chart is in adjusted status, a (*) mark will display on the right side of stock symbol.
4. Working with indicators
4.1 Add a new indicator view (Ctrl + I)
In Explorer Window, select the stock node, then "Indicators" node, click right mouse button, select "Add Indicator" in popup menu, a "Add Indicator" dialog will popup.
Select the indicator name from combox, then press "Ok", a indicator view will be added on the Stock View.
4.2 Set current indicator view
In Explorer Window, select the stock node, then unfold "Indicators" node, double click on indicator name.
Or, double click on title part of the indicator view.
4.3 Remove/Hide indicator view
In Explorer Window, select the stock node, then unfold "Indicators" node, click right mouse button on indicator name, select "Hide" in popup menu.
Or, click the x box of current indicator view to close it.
4.4 Resize indicator view
Move mouse across the division between between quote view and indicator view, when cursor changed, drag up or down to resize views.
4.5 Change indicator's parameters (Ctrl + P)
In Explorer Window, select the stock node, then unfold "Indicators" node, click right mouse button on indicator name, select "Hide" in popup menu, a "Change parameters " dialog will popup
Input the new parameters of this indicator, then press "Ok" to change and save it.
The new effect will be shown immediately on indicator view, or, when you choose to open this indicator view next time.
You can check "Save as Default" to make your new inputted parameters as default values. When you new import a stock, this new default value will be applied to it.
4.6 Apply statistic chart to variable of indicator
You can apply statistic chart to any variable of any indicator from version 1.0.2 (currently only Probability Mass chart is supported)
On indicator view, press down "Ctrl" and click mouse on the chart which is for the variable of indicator, the chart will be marked as Selected.
Click the "Add Statistic Chart " button on toolbar, or press "Ctrl + S " shortcut to apply statistic chart on it.
You can move the reference cursor or move chart to show the statistic chart at each day.
Click on the title part's "X" box will remove the statistic chart priorly than indicator's chart.
Call the popup menu, you can choose 'Change parameters of statistic chart' item to adjust the parameters, including the number of intervals for computing precision, and 3 period length from current back trace to before.
5. Working with drawings
5.1 Add a new drawing layer
In Explorer Window, select the stock node, then "Drawings" node, click right mouse button, select "Add Layer " in popup menu.
5.2 Pick a drawing line type (Ctrl + L)
In Explorer Window, select the stock node, then "Drawings" node, double click on "layer" node to select it.
Click the "Pick drawing line" button on toolbar, or press "Ctrl + L" shortcut to choose the drawing line type.
5.3 Drawing
Click mouse to place the handle, move mouse to stretch line or put other handles.
5.4 Select drawing line
Move mouse on drawing line,
click to select it, you can drag the handle to resize and stretch it, or drag the
other part to move it.
5.5 Delete a drawing line
Select the drawing line you want to delete, then press"'Remove drawing line" button on toolbar or press "delete" key to delete it.
5.6 Show/Hide a drawing layer
In Explorer Window, select the stock node, then unfold "Drawings" node, click right mouse button on " layer" node, select "Show" to show it, or "Hide" to hide it in popup menu. You can also double click on the "layer" node to show it.
Only one layer can be shown each time.
5.7 Delete a drawing layer
In Explorer Window, select the stock node, then unfold "Drawings" node, click right mouse button on " layer" node, select "Delete" in popup menu.
Confirm if you really want to delete it.
6. Working with ticker and real-time chart
6.1 Start watching
* Tips: The stocks in Explorer Window could be organized in folders, you can drag and drop to move stock between folders
* Notice: Only Yahoo! ticker was supported till now. The update interval is 5 seconds.
In Explorer Windows, select the stock folder node, click to expand this node to show all stocks in this folder, or select a stock node, click right mouse button, select "Start Watching" to show them in a Watch List window. And start watching them.
If your selection is folder, all stocks in this folder will be add to Watch List windows, otherwise, i.e. if it's a stock node, only this stock will be add to Watch List window.
Each stock listed in Watch List window will also have a self owned Real-Time chart window opened. The Real-Time chart window will compose 1-Minute real time chart from gathered ticker info. The Real-Time chart window is almost same as History Chart Window, can be zoom-out, zoom-in, and move left, right, change to Candle/Bar.Line etc.
*Tips: put the reference cursor on the last bar, the chart will move left autamatically when new bar is created on the most right.
There is also a Ticker Board window, which will show the current ticker of selected stock, you can change the selected stock by click on Real-Time chart window title. Or, you can double click on stock's symbol on Watch List window to active this stock's Ticker Board and Real-Time chart window.
6.2 Stop watching
In Explorer Windows, select the stock folder node or stock node, click right mouse button, select "Stop Watching" to stop them in a Watch List window.
If a stock is stopped watching, the background of this stock's row in Watch List window will change to gray.
7. Working with User Options
7.1 Set color theme and bar style
From main menu, select "Tools" -> "Options".
Click "Colors and Fonts" to change options.
You can select the color theme you like, till now, only 3 pre-defined themes are supported. You can reverse Positive / Negative Color by check the box there, and select default chart style from Candle, Bar, or Line.
When you select you choice, a preview window will show the effect.
If you press "OK", you selections will be saved as default.
